Then Apple came out with a update to the iPhone OS and again a short while later someone hacked that update also.  By now it was getting old to read about.  No big deal.

Now Apple released  the latest version of the iPhone software, version 1.1.3, which has added many good features.  It was felt by many that some of these features should have been included in the original iPhone release last June.  Whatever.  I guess a lot of people buy things and then take them home and figure out what they got.  I knew exactly what I was getting when I purchased my iPhone and surprise surprise I was (and still am) very happy with it.  BTW, I was one of those early adopter folks who received the $100 rebate.
If Apple adds functionality to my device as time goes on that is really great and I am happy to get these added features.  I don't feel Apple is obliged to add functionality to a device that I purchased half a year ago.

Anyway, with all this new functionality added with the new firmware, and the SDK around the corner it starts to get really boring to read about new iPhone jailbreaks.  Not to mention that there is not one, but several posters all pissing themselves about it.

Did you hear that dear iPhone jailbreak Digger?  I think you're Mom is calling you to come downstairs for dinner.

I have to agree with Jobs question also: "Do you even know anyone who owns a Zune?"  I know I don’t.

One minute the *gadget and *modo guys are creaming their jeans over Steve Jobs and the next they cry about him stating the obvious. Please go back to playing with your Wii.

So I followed the link to the Swedish manufacturer's web site and see it costs €439.00 (including their tax and shipping).  Whoopy doo.  BTW, that's $648 by the exchange rate as I write this.  For this money why would anybody buy this thing?

Why does Wired write about another cell phone that wants to be a iPhone?  Dammit just go buy a real iPhone.  It's even cheaper than this piece of shit.

Earth to cell phone manufacturers:  If you want to make a cell phone better than the iPhone then really do it.  Yeah, the bar is really high so you're going to have to work hard.  You may also have to hire some other people because the ones designing your crap now just are not cutting it.

Folks, so far there is no other cell phone better than the iPhone.  Deal with it.

My friends know that I have a kind of phone fetish and have had many different phones throughout the years. I am pretty sure that I have had every kind of cell phone there is. My last favorites were the Windows Mobile variety and the Motorola Razr. Well all I can is this…T-Mobile just lost my Windows Mobile phone account for good. Yes, I just cancelled that account, no remorse.

At first I though I would keep that account at least for business. I have to admit that the remote desktop connection application in the Windows Mobile phone saved me many trips to servers in the middle of the night, or during dinner parties. So far I have not found a comparable application for my iPhone, but that is the only area where the iPhone is not miles ahead of any Windows Mobile device. Additionally I suspect that someone will make a iPhone compatible Remote Desktop type application shortly if one does not already exist somewhere that I am not yet aware of.

As soon as you spend a little time with the iPhone you will love it. It is the best communication device there is and I am positive that it will be one of the most significant memories of 2007.
Right away I was impressed with the user interface of the iPhone and the way it just seemed intuitive to operate. It is also very elegant and well built. After just a few moments you realize that this thing is very well thought out because the attention to detail is incredible. If you surf the web from your mobile device you cannot help but notice that the iPhone has by far the best browsing experience that is available bar none.

BTW, I have not “Jailbroken” my iPhone and I have no intention of doing so. I think Apple will come out with more updates and I respect their quality workmanship and thoughtfulness of design. So far I have not seen a compelling piece of software that would significantly add to the value of my non-jailbroken device.

I could go on and on about my new iPhone, but I think there is nothing I can say that has not already been said about Apple’s great device. What I can say is this: My next computer will, with 100 percent certainty, be a Mac. I have already been looking at the 24 inch iMac and I think that is the machine in my future. I have thought on and off over the years of getting into Apple computers, but after owning my iPhone for even so short time, it has convinced me that Apple just gets it.
